BENGALURU: US-based nanotechnology firm Triton Solar and the state government have signed an letter of intent (LOI) by which the former will invest $100 million in the state for setting up a nanotechnology-powered solar panel manufacturing facility. The LOI was signed in New York.
Ratna Prabha, Additional Chief Secretary to the Commerce and Industries Department, signed the LOI on behalf of the state government with Himanshu B Patel, CEO, Triton Solar.
Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries R V Deshpande said that renewable energy is a high potential area for Karnataka.
He elaborated that the state continues to attract futuristic companies and technologies.
